Solar manufacturer Jinko Solar has delivered 80MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to the China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) for a solar PV project in Henan Province, China.
The project is under development in Mashang and Liucun villages, which are located in Neihuang county, Henan.
Approximately 325,689 pieces of Jinko Solar’s high-efficiency PV modules will be installed on the rooftops of traditional agricultural greenhouses.
The PV modules are expected to be connected to the grid by the end of this year.
Jinko Solar chairman Xiande Li said: "Neihuang County has traditionally been an agricultural region, which has developed substantially over time and now requires increasing electricity generation capabilities.
"We are honoured to have the opportunity to once again cooperate with China General Nuclear Power Group on the largest solar-agriculture PV project in Henan Province.
"Agricultural solar PV projects not only solve the problem of space needed, but also simultaneously promote new clean energy power generation and agricultural development."
Earlier this month, the solar manufacturer supplied 21.4MW solar PV modules for a ground-mounted solar PV project in Gujarat, India.
Jinko Solar has customers in Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Eastern Europe, China, India, Japan, South Africa, South America, and the US.
