To be located 40km north-east of Falun in Falu municipality, the Anglarna wind farm will be built at a plateau altitude of 300–420m.

Foundations are expected to be poured in 2025. The wind turbines will be delivered in the second quarter of 2026 and commissioning is scheduled for the fourth quarter of the same year.

The wind farm will generate 315–355 gigawatt-hours of clean electricity, enough to power 69,000 homes annually.

Vestas sales north and west vice-president Anna Schlasberg Wachtmeister stated: “We are pleased to build upon our strong track record to successfully execute projects with OX2. This project is another great example of the collaboration with OX2 throughout many years, driving the energy transition together.”

OX2 country manager Hillevi Priscar stated: “We are happy to have signed the agreement with Vestas to supply turbines for the Anglarna wind farm. It is a great project that will make a substantial contribution to a part of Sweden with a strong demand for renewable energy, and we look forward to constructing the wind farm.”

In September 2023, Vestas won a firm order to supply turbines for the Baltic Power offshore wind farm being developed by the joint venture of Orlen and Northland Power. The wind farm will be located in the Polish waters of the Baltic Sea.
