Plant asset development
RWE Power International draws on its experience of operating in world energy markets when making recommendations on appropriate fuel sources and how your plant should be developed in order to achieve its full business potential. The way in which a new power generation asset is developed sets the pattern for its technical and commercial destiny.
Plant inspection management
RWE Power International has specialist non-destructive examination (NDE) products and services that cover advanced NDE technologies, outage management and consultancy. The techniques we employ give simultaneous data imaging and enhanced defect characterisation, enabling accurate defect detection of critical components.
Power plant training, learning and development
RWE Power International can meet the staff training and development needs of power plant and mining operators, using state-of-the-art learning approaches. We offer development programmes in all aspects of power generation and mining, whether on-site or at our training facilities in the UK and Germany.
Plant operational-performance systems
RWE Power International offers a fully integrated approach to enhancing plant performance. We have techniques that will increase plant flexibility in response to varying levels of demand and price, ensure reliability to meet contractual commitments, and achieve greater efficiency to control costs.
Plant environmental management
Our complete range of expert services will enable you to manage environmental performance more effectively. We can assess the environmental impacts of your business, whether in power generation or mining, and provide operations advice to maximise the value of your asset, within the local regulatory framework.
Power plant risk assessment processes
RWE Power International’s unique risk assessment and asset management processes identify and quantify the key risks in power plant operation. The results will enable you to optimise the running of your plant – technically and commercially.
Power plant information-management systems
RWE has established an effective asset management environment using real and near real-time integration of operational, maintenance and commercial data to optimise operations and maintenance of our own and clients’ power plant assets.
Secondary aggregate sales, marketing and after-sales service
RWE Power International supplies the sales and marketing of secondary aggregates from coal combustion products (CCPs); pulverised fuel ash (PFA) and furnace bottom ash (FBA), together with extensive technical support and after sales advice.
The use of ash can have environmental benefits over primary aggregates, helping to meet recycling targets. These secondary aggregates are cost effective and readily available from our power stations in central and southern England and South Wales.
Power plant knowledge and practical experience
We have a great depth of operations and engineering knowledge and practical experience as an asset developer, owner and operator. This experience means we not only provide theoretical solutions to plant issues, but also the practical implementation services you need to transform expert advice into tangible benefits.
