TIO BV’s Rectangular Silencers for Container Applications

Rectangular silencers for container applications, or box silencers, are a breed apart, and are commonly used for power generating purposes.

Both custom and serial require a special know-how and approach. For example, the box silencer in this picture for a leading genset manufacturer. This particular silencer is used on a 800 kVa generator set.

The silencer roof instantly functions as container roof and is therefore executed with a custom low and silent raincap. On the long side of the silencer, you see the two inlets exactly located on the best spots for a quick coupling with the internal exhaust ductings coming from the two turbos.

The silencer contains a built-in certified spark arrester. A series of 15 pieces are being delivered.
