Renewable Diesel Fuel Refinery

By East Coast Filter

A Diesel Refinery in the United States was built adjacent to an existing refinery to generate 18,000 barrels per day of renewable diesel fuel. This new plant was established to convert approximately two billion pounds of various rendered animal fats, used cooking and frying oils, as well as inedible corn oil into roughly 275 million gallons of renewable diesel.

The problem that the refinery faced was filtering out the wide assortment of contaminants prior to becoming reusable diesel while maintaining the shortest downtime possible and maximising output.
