Tecsystem - Thermal Protection of Electrical Machines

Tecsystem has been founded in the year 1980 and since that date it has been dedicated to the thermal control of electrical machines. In the year 1985, the first unit born, microprocessor based, for the temperature control of cast resin MV transformers.

The choice of the micro-processor was a good one, as Tecsystem was able to obtain reduced costs and a wide range of control performances. From then on, Tecsystem continued to make its name known in Italy and Europe, until year 2000, when Tecsystem brought its name all over the world.

CAST-RESIN AND DRY TYPE TRANSFORMERS

Besides, being known in the field of cast- resin and dry type transformers, Tecsystem is currently well-known in the field of electric motors too, thanks to a wide range of products specifically dedicated.

MICROPROCESSOR BASED TEMPERATURE MONITORING SYSTEMS

Last year Tecsystem was also able to enter the power oil transformers market as a result of collaboration with an Indian company - Power Electronic Control Ltd - a new unit was born: microprocessor based, with high-accuracy, reliability and low costs.

Nowadays, Tecsystem numbers a wide range of devices, covering all the exigencies of monitoring and protecting the temperature of electrical machines, from 1 to 24 inputs, including several kinds of sensors, such as Pt100, TcK, PTC, and CU10.

TRAFOFAN® COOLING SYSTEM

The Trafofan cooling system is designed to allow efficient cooling and offers the following features:

• The 'flapper' drives the air flow inside of the two coils
• The cooling efficiency is maximum
• This 'flapper' can be easily adjusted in order to increase the cooling efficiency
• Safety distances from the MV coils are assured
• 40%more in power is confirmed
• Minimal power losses for the motor fans
• Noise is reduced to the minimum level, tanks to the design of the fans

The space required is very insignificant, considering the over-all dimensions of the transformer. The aluminium profile (BARRA) is easy to install on the structure of the transformer. There are only four screws and bolts for both the profiles.

Easy and fast maintenance, in case one fan is faulty. There are two screws for the fan, and fast electrical connections, get free the fan from maintenance.

TECSYSTEM TEMPERATURE MONITORING

The maximum level of reliability is granted and recognised by the certification obtained: RI.NA - UL - CSA and last but not least, the ISO 9001:2000 in year 2001. This approval is the consequence of the high diligence of Tecsystem staff, in searching the best quality product and assistance to the customers.
