KE-Burgmann Approved as Supplier to MAN B&W Augsburg

From January 2004 KE-Burgmann Bredan A/S has been approved as supplier to MAN B&W Diesel AG in Augsburg. In 2004, MAN B&W’s marine division for 4-stroke engines has placed more than 40 orders for metal expansion joints for installation directly behind the turbo charger.

In September 2004, MAN B&W’s power plant division placed a large order for 32 metal expansion joints with KE-Burgmann Bredan, with sizes ranging from DN 350-1700, as part components for a power plant in Honduras, the “Choloma III”.

For MAN B&W this was also the biggest single order ever placed to the MAN B&W Diesel Group. The order detailed 13 off 18V48/60 engines to drive a 230MW diesel power plant in Honduras. The order to Honduras has been projected by EMCE/ENERSA.

KE-Burgmann Bredan A/S is a 100% owned subsidiary of KE-Burgmann A/S, Denmark, who has more than 40 years of experience with expansion joints, both fabric, rubber and metal. KE-Burgmann is part of the international Burgmann Industries group of companies, which is owned by the German Freudenberg & Co in cooperation with the Japanese Eagle Industry.
